Polyester poy is a polyester pre-oriented yarn ( high-speed spinning ), which needs to be stretched and deformed by a texturing machine to make polyester DTY. It is widely used in textiles, and polyester poy is not directly used for weaving.
According to statistics and forecasts, the global polyester pre-oriented yarn market sales will reach 211 billion US dollars in 2021, and it is expected to reach 332.8 billion US dollars in 2028. The compound annual growth rate region (CAGR) for the period 2022-2028 is 5.9%.

The polyester POY industry is developing rapidly and the demand is large. In order to better meet the needs of high-end customers, Salud Style has formulated corresponding physical index standards for polyester POY to better enhance the overall development of the industry and improve its own competitiveness. This standard will be applied to our polyester POY products. From the perspective of market demand development, the standard has reached the high-end positioning requirements of world-class products. The formulation of the standard will help improve the product quality and overall technical level of polyester pre-oriented yarn (POY), and establish a higher standardized production for other enterprises. It will even have important guiding and guiding significance for the improvement of the overall industrial quality.

The quality of POY is the basic guarantee of the texturing process. According to the characteristics of coarse denier and porous number, the main production process of POY in our factory is determined as follows.

If the spinning speed of polyester POY is too high, there will be many broken ends and more wool in the post-processing. Table 1 shows some quality indexes of POY and DTY under three spinning speeds. It can be seen that the spinning speed of 3250 m/min is better.

In the process of polyester POY spinning, the spinneret bulking rate should not be too large, otherwise, the melt will be easily broken, or the filament fineness and evenness, sticking to the board, injection head, etc. The spinneret of ×96 specification uses its larger aspect ratio to reduce the bulking rate of the spinneret and stabilize the spinning.
Properly increase the melt spinning temperature to improve the rheological properties of the melt. When our factory produces 222dtex/96f natural polyester DTY, the melt temperature is about 5 ℃ higher than that of conventional varieties, reaching 290 ℃.
Due to the large fiber fineness and a large number of fibers, it is necessary to increase the air volume of the side blowing, the wind speed is increased to 0.80 ± 0.02 m/s, the humidity of the side blowing is stable at 75 ± 5%, and the oiling position of the bundle is increased. Strengthen the cooling effect of the thread, stabilize the solidification of the thread, and reduce the unevenness of polyester POY.
Clean and replace the oil pump in time to ensure the oil content and uniformity of polyester POY and enhance the cohesion of the tow.
When producing 222 dtex/96 f polyester DTY, the quality index of polyester POY is required as shown in Table 2.
